Had quite a good day in the deer park - I saw Red, Pere David's, Manchurian Sika, Chinese Water, Muntjac, Fallow and some rather distant Barasingha. Only Axis and Timor Deer thwarted me!

IMO they are probably one of the best wildlife spectacles you can see anywhere in the UK. Just the sheer number, plus of course a fascinating history. I particularly like to see them around July when they are rutting- they are all concentrated in one area together with the stags' carrying huge bundles of grass on their antlers, while their calls echo around the park, it sounds to me like water running out of a bath...
