Looking back toward the house - the lake separates two groups and will have electric wire. The other group will be behind where I was standing and will access it by a race down the left.

Please explain "the lake...will have electric wire." Do you mean there will be electric wire for the surrounding fence, or the lake its self will be bordered by electric wire? The thought of water and electricity makes me shutter!
I think some extra posts are going in somewhere to allow some electric fence type thing around/across the lake. See what you mean, does sound a bit scary!! Not sure how it will work re changes in water level. Will find out soon because that's next job to be done once the first lions out were back inside, before they could let any into the other enclosure.
