As for rhinos, if they keep it separate from the African Plains, black rhinos might be a possibility. However, the likelihood for the less challenging whites is more realistic (alas). Asian rhinos, great apes (either chimps, but given the proximity of the Asian rhinos more likely orangs). They also seem to be going for Total Geo concept ... (Australia walkabout and South American realm).
Speaking to a member of staff a while back we were told they do indeed have planning permission for this but that it's not certain whether or not it will definitely go ahead.
I have to say that plan looks amazing and it would be a massive accomplishment if that was to all become true, however I can't help but notice a couple of things:
Firstly the new tiger enclosure is dangerously close the the African Plains, which I feel is a massive mistake, especially after what happened when they moved the Hunting Dogs in next to the Guanaco (for those that don't know, the Hunting Dogs spent the first few weeks in their new enclosure constantly looking and trying to find a way to get to the Guanaco who, understandably, quite literally scared themselves silly and bolted over the fence into what is now the African Plains.)
And, finally, I notice that the plan does not cover all of the land that YWP currently own. I obviously appreciate that this is only a concept plan, but I would still quite like to know what they have ear marked for the rest of the land.
