A sunny Bank Holiday, Nyctereutes procyonoides-style...
Does anyone know how many pairs of Raccoon Dogs there are in the UK, as I used to work with this couple when the park was still Brockholes Farm and I do happen to know they are pretty old, also on that note does anyone know how long they live on average?

This pair were also very friendly back then, but not so much anymore. It would be a great shame for me if they couldn't be replaced when this pair eventually die.

How long do they live? Sadly if they are in China not very long at all.

there are quite a few in private collections (not sure on total numbers). Ive met some before and have to say they were charming, friendly creatures that acted just like a domestic dog!

@ stubeans, indeed they are which makes it all the more sad that many of them are turned into coats and hats, sickening.
