Just two, a mother and son... This photo makes the enclosure look about two to three times bigger than it really is... It also must have been quite soon after it opened as the rear is now completely grown in with vegetation... Great shot MARK...

This photo was taken in 1999, there were another two hippos out the back in the old Hippo exhibit, I think I also added pics on the old exhibit in the gallery
