No problem Pertinax. I have also taken my usual close-up photos that I will post soon but I have been coming on Zoochat for a while and thought I would take my wide lens and put some enclosure shots to show people how they are becoming established from earlier photos.The enclosure is probably twice as big as this shows. I would estimate it is 75metres x 100 metres. And the other enclosure hosting Syian and Vladimir is nearly as big. I think they do rotate them also to give them a change of scenery. I think its just about as good as you can get for captive big cats.
I don't think the 2 females will ever be allowed into the same enclosure together. But when Tschuna has acclimatised to her new surroundings,and I think got a little older then the plan is to allow Vlad to mate with her. I think he will carry on living with Syian up until that time. I think the actual go ahead is controlled by the international stud-book,but they wont let Vlad mate with Syian as they are distantly related. I stand to be corrected,but that's how I understand things to be.
