Its a nice enclosure as I've commented before, but from this angle the public look like they are a long way away and so from some angles the viewing isn't brilliant. True? But then you took this shot fine from somewhere nearer.

The viewing is very good - the baboons can get really close. The mesh fence is running actually along the top of the retaining wall above the moat - there is only a couple of inches between the anti-climb 'cylinder' and where the public stand, if that's what worrying you. I took this picture across the exact same barrier as in front of the visitors you see here: http://www.zoochat.com/1070/view-guinea-baboon-enclosure-barrier-361917/
Oh, I think I see now!!! The people in the distance are looking at something in the next enclosure?... I thought that was as near as they could get to the baboons at that point whereas they aren't looking at them at all? My mistake.

Ah - I see - the 'cylinder' at the far end of the fence climbs up in front of the visitor fence as the ground level in the enclosure rises - so the people at the back of my photo above are still looking at the baboons.
The wooden fence behind makes a T-junction with the enclosure barrier to screen the back of the cafe/play barn - it joins at the point the cylinder reaches the top of the visitor barrier. The fence/wall line is curved up to the point the water moat ends, then goes straight back to the building behind - but the rising cylinder produces a bit of an optical illusion that it bends!
The people just in front of the wooden fence are at the last point you can view the baboons from before this wooden fence stops you getting closer to the building.

Thanks Maguari. Third go and I have it now. Its just in the way you look at it- somehow I thought they were looking over at another exhibit, but now you say the fence runs crossways to the cylinder barrier I can see how it really works.
Everything here looks first class. As neat as a pin too. The Lion enclosures look much better than Gallery photos show- I like the rocky outcrops. Tiger enclosures look good too. Still not a great fan of the Leopard area though.
