Leopard Heights at Yorkshire WP, 28/10/14

This is the main exhibit which on this day the male ('Drake') had access to. Behind this exhibit is two smaller exhibits which the female ('Freya') had access to.

I haven't yet visited YWP but from all the photos on here, there seams to be a lot of fencing around all the enclosures, I don't know if t hat is a fair judgement or not, the exhibits certainly look large -nearly safari park large.- I think in time this one well look good, but it could be speeded up with climbers, such as passionflower that grow very fast and quite dense giving good cover. I also think if some of the trees etc had been used outside of the enclosure as well as inside it would have settled the whole thing into the landscape more readily.
They could also have smaller log frames outside for children to climb like leopards on.
