Victor and Pixel 30-3-15

The 2 polar bears in the same enclosure. Victor wants to make friends but the much smaller Pixel (Victors grandson) is still a little apprehensive. They got within 20 feet earlier today so i think within a week they will finally make contact. They are both so playful its going to brilliant to watch them over the coming months.

They do get lots of enrichment items in the their enclosure,which include boxes,hessian sacks with various smells inside them,brush heads,safety helmets,water barrels that usually end of as toys in the lake,dustbin lids and other items to keep them active. The boxes usually contain food items to start with,and are soon ripped to pieces.Sometimes its just straw with other animals droppings mixed in or even perfume sprayed onto it. Its all about keeping their brains active and stimulated.

I think he's looking at the flattened cardboard box by Pixel.

Whenever I see them or see a picture of them they seem to have a box
