Does anyone know exactly how large this exhibit is? It has certainly improved with age and additional climbing structures than what is shown in this particular photo...but I know that many people here at ZooChat have issues with the limited size of the gorilla family, the use of hotwire in the enclosure, the lack of colobus monkeys, and the sheer open quality of the habitat rather than a canopy structure for the great apes.
All the money, by the looks of it, was spent on the visitors area and the Gorilla's sleeping quaters. Looks almost like the outdoor exhibit was added on at the last minute.
So little tought put into it.
