Fabulous portrait shot.The bird almost seems to be posing.Sometimes it seems as if they realize when a certain visitor especially appreciates them , and they put on a special display.Really sharp focus too , with great detail of the eye, and nothing distracting in the composition.
Thank you. This walk-through indoor aviary looks rather strange with a glass roof and white painted walls - but it is quite well planted and it works well for photography.
The pair of rollers are just about the largest birds there (with the sun bitterns and black-winged stilts). They naturally choose the highest perches and look out for food, but I presume they don't take the nestlings of the other species.
