Thanks for posting the list of species in the newly revamped Clore Rainforest, and the place looks terrific! There is definitely an impressive number of primates in this building.

Thanks for the photos from the refurb.

This is how i'd mentally pictured the original Clore refurbishment back in 2007, and was a little underwhelmed when I visited (only a couple of months after it's opening) to find quite a sparse central biome, however i'm quite happy with how this appears now.

It looks really nice! and with a nice species list. Sure it's not a new exhibit but it is an improvement, I dont know why people dislike it - (see relevant London zoo threads if you dont know what i'm on about)

OMG the place looks beautiful! I can't wait to camp in here for an hour or two when I visit!!!:Dlol

Truly stunning:p

I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but there is no way in which this exhibit can be described as "truly stunning", nor does it represent a leap froward from what was there before. It's all perfectly fine - but no more than that. And it really isn't so very different from what existed pre the latest rebrand. It's as nothing compared to the jungle houses across the USA, and, in Europe, I'd suggest that the Krefeld jungle exhibit is a great deal more interesting and imaginative - to say nothing of course of Zurich's wonderful Magagascan forest. This is fine - and maybe fine is about as good as we can expect from London Zoo.

As I said earlier this is how I envisaged the original Clore refurb back in 2007 and was rather let down then and i'm just happy that they seem close to achieving the exhibit which I had mentally pictured 3 years ago, rather than expectant that this will be on of Europe's top exhibits.

Some of the comments about it have been slightly hyperbolic, however (and I don't intend to speak on behalf of them) perhaps it is because they lack first-person exposure of the top European exhibits? I don't believe the UK is renowned for it's tropical houses as most of the ones i've visited tend to be a greenhouse and reptile house hybrid and i've not see the Masaola in Zurich or Burger's Bush for example so from my viewpoint, the Clore comes across as a refreshing change from the normal decorated reptile house or rushed tour (ala Twycross)

It might also be worth mentioning that I never properly saw the Clore in it's postage stamp heydey (I visited in 1999, however my memory is sketchy at best) so perhaps this is affecting my view of the refurbished exhibit somewhat?

mmm. As Sooty Mangabey comments above, I can't see any real difference to how it was before.

There isn't much difference at all, just a bit greener. It's fine as a medium-sized exhibit in a small zoo but nothing to get excited about.
