You can have our starlings if you'd like :P I see the English Sparrows pretty often here, but I'm seeing the native ones more these days.

The sparrow population in central London seems to have suffered particularly badly , the large flocks in the Parks and in Trafalgar Square , where they used to be fed with the pigeons , have all but disappeared . I was in Wimbledon recently and there seemed to be quite a few around there . Down here in Swansea there are plenty around , a small flock is fed in my garden daily and they are still present in the city centre .

London Zoo itelf also used to be a House Sparrow stronghold- along with Pigeons etc. Most of the animal houses had colonies. I guess the amount of Chaff from hay and straw was a big reason.

The colony in the Giraffe House had some pure white individuals but I haven't noticed them recently.
