Seeing that the Lubetkin was a listed (the sliding ramps were not available for demolition purposes). I do think that thankfully the area has had a new lease of life. In ALL fairness for penguins the enclosure was no longer any good. How porcupines fit in the larger plan of the area I can not completely envision from me arm chair ... I would have to go back and see the Lubetkin "pool" as it stands now ...
Well this is about three years old... and the porcupines moved out after a year or so, and the pool stood empty till it became a fountain from Easter '09 to now.
