Always a pleasure to see tapirs swim like dolphins ... :D
They then come into their own!

That new exhibit on the Cassons is more suited to them both in terms of exhibit and entourage (tree cover et cetera).

There is very little tree cover over the outside enclosures at the Casson Pavilion. If, as suggested by the artists' drawings, the tapirs do move to the current camel paddock, there will have to be a lot of planting to get sufficient cover over this enclosure. This is no bad thing, as the transformation the Cotton terraces have undergone through planting alone would be a very welcome sight around the Casson pavilion.

Furthermore, the indoor and outdoor pools in the Casson are, IMO, slightly smaller than the current facilities, however no to the extent that they would be unsuitable for tapir.

The outoor pool in the Camel area is sunken isn't it? You couldn't see the elephants bathing very well so you won't be able to see the Tapirs swimming unless they change the design or the viewing.

I agree tree planting would be necessary but welcome too.
