They are impressive. I've become extremely fascinated with monitors. Frankly, I owe that to watching Steve Irwin's 'Crocodile Hunter' program for many years. His show gave me a better appreciation of reptiles in general.

He certainly brought a lot of species to the attention of the general public but i can't say i approved of his intrusive approach - i prefer a more observational approach to wildlife shows (eg; David Attenborough). I think the American presenter Jeff Corwin provides the best balance for someone looking for a more energetic approach to wildlife documentaries.
