ZSL nevewr labelled these as being other than "grey gibbons". I would like to know more about these animals - were they moloch, Muller's or hybrid? I think they may have been kept at Whipsnade, in the enclosure now used for ruffed lemurs, but I don't know where they went to, or if they ever bred.

I dug out the 1992 British Isles Gibbon Studbook to check on these . They are listed as Mueller's Gibbon , arriving in Whipsnade in 1966 , birth 1965 unknown location , presumably wild . Their stay in Regent's Park is not recorded , instead they are shown as going to Edinburgh with their son , born July 1972 , in September 1975 .The female died in 1982 having produced another male offspring in 1976 . The breeding male and second son went to Fuengirola , Spain , in 1986 , the older son went to Paignton in 1981 .

It’s interesting to learn that they were listed in the studbook as Mueller’s gibbon; they are listed as Hylobates moloch in the ZSL Annual Report for 1972 (although, of course, in those days muelleri was considered a sub-species of moloch anyway).
It is also interesting to read that they arrived at Whipsnade in 1966; they are not listed in the ZSL Annual Report for 1966 as arriving at Whipsnade that year.
I suspect that the male gibbon transferred to Paignton might be still there , the individual living for a long time in the small cage behind the Orang island ?
