I completely agree. It looks like a giraffe feeding station or as if a diver is going to hold a piece of fish over the edge for dolphins to leap and satisfy onlookers with their athletic prowess. The new pygmy hippo enclosure has been tastefully designed and it is yet another in a long line of improvements at London Zoo but this wooden stairway is unwieldy and just plain ugly.
