Auckland Zoo 30 Dec 2012
In a quiet corner of their exhibit in Hippo River, 14 of the flock of Greater Flamingoes were tending to nests, in which there were at least three eggs (presumably real eggs, but possibly not). The other two birds were feeding in the water.
Flamingo eggs apparently take about a month to hatch, so we should hear by the end of January whether they are actually real eggs that have hatched.
