I like seeing old zoo photos, even if they are from zoos I've never been to. I particularly like it when the old photos show rare species! Are there even any cotingas in the UK now?

Amazonworld still, I believe, has a few Spangled Cotinga (Cotinga cayana)

Lackham College has a single elderly Purple-throated Fruitcrow (Querula purpurata)

The noisiest bird in the old Bird House. It must have deafened visitors for around 20 years.

That Purple-Throated Fruitcrow came from the late Raymond Sawyer`s collection, as most people probably know.

Thank you , not a great photo I know, but hard to photograph specimens in those old bird house cages, I will have to dig out some more of my old photos.

I flicked back onto this photo and saw it immediately this time! For some reason my eyes were searching the enclosure when it was right in front of me!!:o

That kind of thing happens to me in person, so don't worry about it :p
