Bongorob is correct - it later transpired that ZSL London had Z.bartoni :)

Also, damn you to hell for having seen these :p

It is not strictly true to say “it later transpired" that ZSL had Z.bartoni

The ZSL knew that these echidnas were the ‘bartoni’ form; however, ‘bartoni’ was then believed to be sub-species of ‘bruijinii’; they were always considered to be Zaglossus bruijnii bartoni
 
these are of course now at Taronga Zoo in Sydney where they are still going strong (well two of them at least -- I think London had three of them?)
 
very good. I knew Taronga had three (now two) but wasn't sure if all three had come from London or if they already had one of their own.

London Zoo sent its trio of long-beaked echidnas to Taronga in 1994; one had been in the zoo since in 1965 and one was the ex-Dallas specimen received in 1986 (having already spent fifteen years in Dallas).
