Yes, taronga's passed away only a couple of months ago. A real unfortunate loss for Australia when this species dies out.

I hadn't realised Taronga's had died as well, sad that I missed it on both my visits there. Don't remember ever seeing the Auckland bird either, but I may have when younger.
 
I didn't see the Taronga one either when I was there (or the Auckland one for that matter, this being a photo my sister took). I was going to be visiting Adelaide this year on my way back from Asia but now I'm just doing Western Australia, so I won't see the Adelaide one either.
