Oh, well done! Haven't spotted the gull for a few visits now.

I managed to spot it when I revisited on my last day, too

I'd suggest searching high and low along the back of the aviary after you exit. After I took this photo it flew off and landed on one of the metal beams near the top that can only be seen from the outside.

They used to breed a lot of these, this may be a very old bird.
