Asian Elephant enclosure fencing

Great picture, l love a good barrier picture.

Seems a little over the top as l have seen many elephants enclosed with a simple moat.

It appears a trend in the UK at the momment to use allot of electric fenceing. What has been used at Howlettes and Port Lymphe for the colobus enclosures seems allot as well. Although l am sure necessary for colobus.

It used to be just the moat before the bull arrived, maybe since then they've stepped up security?

Though that wallaby better be careful!

@zooman I think these days simple moats have gone out of fashion for safety reasons.
