Breeding pair?

Son of the previous pair, which lived with its mother until she died when he was about a year(?) old. Miraculously they have imported another female for him, so yes, a potential breeding pair. I don't know the age of the new female but the bull is only young.

Good news, even better if more were in the UK?

True. I'm quite surprised Whipsnade didn't just give up with them and send the single young male to Europe, but they haven't, which is good news.

If Chester zoo had a pair also things would look so much better for the species in the UK
