Gaur 'Mohan'

Juvenile bull, born 18/11/07. Still with his mother \'Guiwala\'; unfortunately I think the zoo have lost their adult bull.

The bull's gone? Very sad news. Do they plan to replace him?

I do hope they do something about these- ideally add another pair and keep the bull calf indefinately for safety's sake as well.

I think they should get in some more Gaur cows and a bull because Gaur are herd animals not pair animals

Hi Alan,
we were there on 8.08.09. No sign of the adult bull, who was a superb glossy black colour. It's a real shame if he has died. The young bull in the photo was in the small hard-standing facing the Przewalski paddock. Mum was in the main paddock.

He is now the father of the latest calf at Whipsnade I believe.
