I suppose she'll be packing her bags soon. It is too bad that Lola has had two female calves, which - with an exchange of bulls - could have formed the basis of a breeding group (and descending from Henry and Belinda!), but the existing Common Hippo setup is too small for this to be done.

I always think its a shame when each successive calf reared there is sent away (and not even within the UK). With better facilities they could have had a group of similar size to West Midlands by now. But it would require far better/larger facilities- like building a House similar to the 'Rhinos of Nepal' building and a larger outdoor lake. And better filtration facilities too if the water wasn't to be as bad as West Midlands is. All too much expenditure no doubt, for it to happen....
