P P Pertinax 10 Aug 2015 Very encouraging to see the rejuvenation of Nilgai at Whipsnade. Do you know if they died out entirely from Whipsnade before the new stock arrived? Hopefully the Blackbuck with follow suit.

And it seems that the previous herd did die out* (or leave), with Whipsnade presumably being nilgai-less for six years or so, prior to the current stock arriving. *Source: @Tim May's post in the 2014 main Whipsnade thread.
