I notice the focal length is 560mm. Are you using one of the new Tamron or Sigma 150-600 lenses? If so, how do you like it? Or maybe this is the new Canon 100-400 with 1.4x extender?

Well, er... spotted! This is the Canon 100-400 Mk II lens, with the Canon 1.4x II extender. I don't usually use it with the extender, but decided to give it a try on this visit.
Looks like it works quite well with the extender. Based on this small upload, the image appears to be tack sharp. By all reports the new 100-400 ii is amazing. If I was still really into animal photography (which I am not so much these days) and if I had the money (which I do not), I would get one.

It works much better with this extender than did the 100-400 Mk I. I'd hired the Mk I lens on a couple of occasions, prior to succumbing to the Mk II version about 6 months ago. The Mk II lens has hardly been off my camera since! Truly amazing - very versatile, light enough to carry around all day, and great quality.
