Advertised as the only zoo on the planet with animals, a botanical garden, and a dinosaur park. Kids adore this section of the zoo, even though it was going to be demolished in favour of the proposed $200 million Arctic Shores (polar bears, beluga whales, etc) complex. That fell through and now the dinosaurs are still standing!
Thanks Sun Wukong, as I figured that someone would come up with an alternative zoo with animals, plants and dinos. However, that is why I used the word "advertised" in my thread as I myself was doubtful. I suppose that not many people around Calgary will know of the Plzen Zoo to dispute the zoo's claim, and it reminds me of the fact that in Omaha there are loads of statements declaring the Lied Jungle to be the world's largest indoor rainforest even though several ZooChatters have disputed that declaration. Perhaps it is the Masoala Rainforest in Zurich?
