For now the flamingos and vulture are in there. The plovers have moved into the rainforest aviary. Im not sure if this is permanent. I have feeling that it is just for the winter, as this setup was only put in place in late september last year. Usually the vultures go out into the "savannah" and the greater flamingos may join the chileans in the outdoor pond.
I must agree. Currently there are black swans in the african aviary. In addition, according to isis these flamingos are actually americans, but that just brings up the taxonomy debate.
The very deep pink feathers on the wings suggest these are either Caribbean (American) Flamingos or Greater x Caribbean hybrids. As ISIS says the former, I would guess that's the case.
They have been split recently, but the fact that they're different entities was never really in question - the two were long held to be different subspecies so would still still be listed separately on ISIS.
