Fantastic bus. The shark probably adds a good 15% to the petrol bill though (re: wind resistance). I understand that aircraft burn 10% more fuel when the landing gear is down, and for this reason they bring up the landing gear literally as soon as they get off the ground.

To be fair it doesn't drive very far, and I imagine the revenue gained through the advertising on the bus more than accounts for any extra petrol used.
I forgot to add a smiley face in my post, as although the fuel consumption stats are accurate, and similar equations are used to calculate wind resistance experienced by both aircraft and cars (both are tested in wind tunnels for 'air resistanc') it was said tongue in cheek.
I too would love to ride in the bus and grab a photo standing in front. In fact, why I commented on the pic in the first place, is that it's a great idea for my local zoo to attach a fibreglass lion or zebra or something to their buses. I think I will put a note in their suggestion box.

The bus that takes you to the Helsinki Zoo is pretty cool too, its painted green, with various animals painted on the outside, fake greenery strung up inside, and a video playing inside showing the zoo's conservation work.
I didn't find the Helsinki Zoo bus on Google Images, but the penguin bus and tuatara car look quite attractive. They remind me of the Red Bull Minis. red bull mini cooper - Google Search

I only have a photo of the outside of the bus, and I couldn't find any pics online of the inside of the bus. Having a video on the bus is a brilliant way to educate visitors (as they are essentially a captive audience). Would have been better if it was in English maybe...
