Yes, we did get it, a long time ago. The show that introduced the word "Sleestack" (or something similar).
I remember at the time being rather impressed at the scale of the Park. In the mid-80's dinosaurs exhibits like this were new and very popular. A couple of weeks previously I'd seen some animatronic dinosaurs at the Milwaukee Museum, which were also hugely popular.
I liked this photo because of the city skyline and street lights in the background.
The 6.5 acre Prehistoric Park opened in 1985 and I can remember being 10 years old when I visited it in 1986 and thinking it was awesome. I was at Calgary Zoo today and the area has not aged well in terms of crowd congestion as the zoo is enormously popular (1.2 million annual visitors in a city of 1.2 million) and the pathways are very narrow in places. Also, the area is much lusher and this photo now would have much more foliage in it.
