The big news of the day now that Calgary Zoo has committed to phasing out elephants (the females will be sent to the National Zoo) is that greater one-horned rhinos will be placed in this exhibit by the end of 2014. The interior of the building will be remodelled to accommodate the new species at the zoo, and nearby a brand-new Komodo Dragon exhibit will also be constructed in 2014.
