The wetland area of Lilydale Lake

Actually, not as many species as I would have expected of such a large area of water. Only the usual or common species, but I am surprised there isn't more sightings of Pelicans and black swans. The lake is kept stocked with fish, and there is lots of vegetation in and around the water. Having said that, I don't go there very often and usually would be with small kids, so I don't have the opportunity to do serious wildlife watching.

I guess there are a lot of people and dogs around, which might reduce the number of species hanging around a bit. The wetland bit always appears very empty. I have seen a few species at the Lake, but mostly a few common species.
