Stalking Cheetah

He went from this stalking position to a full out run by, complete with a little hiss. It was a wonderful little show of feline grace -- and I think he did it just to see what reaction he\'d get!

How many Cheetahs are there recently? Are the cubs still there?

I believe there are 10+ cheetahs at the zoo. There were cubs born in August, I believe. The ones born in 2007 were moved to African Lion Safari.

Do they all live in the one Cheetah-house? I saw in october just the mum with the cubs and a male in the back.

Yes they do They're displayed on a rotation basis.

But more than 10 cats in there? I mean its 5 outside-exhibits tops. So some cheetahs have to stay the whole day indoors?

The zoo's cheetah holding building is very large and it also has many off-exhibit yards.There is also an off-exhibit breeding centre
