Red-Tailed Hawk

Say this guy on my visit last weekend.

If I remember correctly, this hawk's name is Shriek. He was being carried around by a trainer. When a lot of people gathered around, he started explaining some of the animals history.

He's around 15 years old, I think, and used mainly for educational purposes. He's also a rescue, having been hit by a car years ago.

Couldn't catch most of what he was saying, as I was focusing on getting shot and returning a lost iPhone.

Policeman: hey, you with the camera, did you get a photo of the shooter?
Cypher: no, but check out this awesome hawk photo!
Policeman: wow, that is really good. Hey, guys, check out this hawk photo!
Other Policemen: we're taking fingerprints....
Policeman: no, seriously, check this out!
Other Policemen (coming over): oh wow, that is awesome.

Shooter (running away): suckers!

:p

Well, I didn't want to toot my own horn, but you guys go on. I'm loving it :)

Oh I love that too. I can so easily see it. Why its all as a cartoon confuses me but clearly I've taken a massive leap away from reality.

Chlidonias do you really think our intrepid hero Cypher would let the shooter get away? No the heroic photographer dodging gunfire to get the perfect hawk shot would take the photo then swing the tripod through the air disarming the shooter. All the while still snapping shots of the stoic hawk unphased by the noise, panic and chaos. Once the gunman is disable Cypher orders the hawk to retrieve the gun thus saving the day and providing an excellent opportunity to capture a hawk in flight. Cypher couldn't post those photos though because they are part of an ongoing criminal investigation. Probably also why Cypher hasn't discussed what really happened. But once the trial is over Im sure we will see the photos and hear the real story.

don't you think that photos of a hawk in flight carrying a loaded gun at the time of a shooting might be used by the defence as a fairly obvious means of getting their client off the alleged shooting charges!!

Oh I didnt make myself clear... I see your point. No Cypher took the photos of the hawk in flight while it was heading towards the gun. Once those magestic shots were taken Cypher had to tend to the wounded alone until paramedics got there. With the gun firmly clasped in the razor sharp talons of the hawk the threat was gone. While patching up the wounded using only what was in the camera case Cypher managed to save everyones life while taking photos of the animals in the America's pavilion. I know why werent they posted? Again the foolish police think those photos are evidence just because you can see the scene in the reflection of the glass. I think we will get those photos too. And as our intrepid hero turned over the wounded to paramedics Cypher tripped over the iphone already mentioned. Knowing some poor person had clearly lost it in the chaos Cypher picked up all the photography equipment and began an intesive exhibit by exhibit search for the owner. Cypher didnt waste time looking on the pathways. Using the camera Cypher searched over every inch of every exhibit getting some fanastic, less stressful shots along the way. Im sure they are part of Cypher's really good photos reserved for the flickr account. By the time Cypher looped through the zoo to the Sumatran Tigers the husband of the terrified woman called and a happy reunion was made with the owner. A heroic photographers work is never done.

Cypher your legend is growing! And I cleary have a case of the sillies today. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Ok I have run out of ideas to make you sound even more heroic. Oh how one little typo has brought about such fun.
