Wow thats interesting. I never knew that they sun bathed. Never saw Crash doing it. I just wish the zoo would come up with nicer signs for it then a piece of lamanated paper. Spring for a nice sign. They will be doing this behaviour for the rest of their lives. Get a good quality sign. Replace some of the crumy old ones that have been around since I was a kid.
Well, I never saw the sign, so I wouldn't be surprised if other people never saw it either. At first glance the bird looks dead until you get closer and it rears up to look at you. It doesn't really get up, but it moves enough so you know that it's alive and well.

You got that right - I showed someone the sign, which he read at least part of then went right up to the bird.
Someone else was reading the sign while his kids were shrieking at the bird - who left!
