There is one green and one brown waxy monkey tree frog in the exhibit. I'm not sure if this one has something wrong with it or if that's just a natural colour that these frogs come in.
Probably just a colour morph then. A sickly looking colour but maybe there is genius in that. If I were a predator it would look sort of gross to me... I would probably eat one of the other green ones.
This one has been brown for a couple months now. It's also been in the same position for just as long. He never leaves that corner of the exhibit. I think there are at least 2 other green ones in the exhibit, although sometimes I can only find 1.
Clearly I need to pay closer attention to the amphibians, reptiles, fish, bugs,.... birds... ok everything thats not a mammal. Nah I only get one crack at the zoo every year I'm probably still going to pay most or all of my attention to my furry friends and some of their feathered ones too.
