Mr Wrinkly

Polar Bear

1-yr-old Humphrey looks more mature and more like his dad every time I see him, but he is still the guy who takes a swim then rolls in muddy grass and always looks scruffy. This day he blended in with the rocks so well a couple of parties, probably looking for a large white bear, could not see him.

This picture shows about 80% of the main part of the exhibit. Viewing is along the left side, a small window to the left, this window, a larger one to the right, and below here, underwater viewing. There is also a window in the rocks.

There is also a smaller maternity area with a small pool, and large windows. Behind the rocks in the centre is a grassy area larger than the main exhibit, with another smaller pool, and several vantage points for visitors.

p.s. Humphrey is in the middle of the picture, napping.

I can totally see how you could miss them. I couldn't pick out where he was until I blew up the pic.

This is a fantastic exhibit shot. Gives a very good perspective of their domain.
