Oh that would be cool to see. I cant wait til spring to see them. Which of the two was bigger? Currently the larger one would be Larina, the female, who is three or 4 now. Lakhar is two and smaller still. Just wondering if we can figure out how to tell them apart by looks and not size because Im sure Lakar will catch up in several years when he matures.
Got a friend who helped me clear up who is who. This is Zakhar the male (originally was supposed to be Lakhar). He is identifiable because he has a ton of white on his beak where are Zarina doesnt. You can really see the white in the photo.
No problem I wanted to know myself and asked around with some friends. Im assured this is the right ID by two different people who volunteer at the zoo and have had chats with keepers. As always we all like knowing who we are watching.
