Bleeding-Heart Dove Chick

Here\'s the week old Bleeding-Heart Dove in its nest. Hard to see because the mother was pretty protective with all the people coming through the area.

You are very lucky to have got a shot of the little one. Wont be long before its grown and you would have missed it.

Nice picture. When I saw the chick, neither of the parents were there. Sadly my phone ran out of battery so I couldn't get a picture of it. One of the cool things that I noticed was that the chick was just starting to get the red feathers on its chest.

For a minute I thought it had it's mouth open... lmao
