a particularly-attractive member of the family Gobiesocidae, this species lives amongst the spines of sea-urchins when young but under rocks when larger (hence it is rarely seen either in the wild or when in aquariums!). The odd-looking pad that the fish appears to be resting on is a sucking disc formed from modified pelvic fins
