Mr Wrinkly

Canada Lynx

Male kitten, May, 2015 - September, 2015
Euthanized after he suffered spinal injuries caused by bone density issues.

Few saw him because alterations had not yet been made to make the exhibit safe so he was kept in the back where it was difficult to pick him out through two layers of fencing and some shrubbery. A few times I took pictures when he was active but only got some fur. Another member, however, has allowed me to post his only good picture

Wow, make sure to thank the member that allowed you to use his picture. He was definitely lucky to get this one. Such a shame this little guy couldn't live a full life.

Your friend was indeed lucky to see him given the circumstances.

I really hope the bone density issue isn't going to be a problem with his future brothers and sisters. We will just have to wait and see if the zoo thinks its a genetic problem Ember or Ryan are passing along to their cubs. Hopefully it wasn't also part of the cause of death of his litter mate who died days after birth. That would be a very bad sign.
