Nice group of Scarlet macaws and and good initiative !
Can you tell us however were "Aluxes" is located in Mexico ?

Aluxes is in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico
by now 39 birds should have been released with very good success
this facility is off show but free flighing birds can be seen easily above the zoo.

In January I was in Palenque but didn't know about this Ecopark, what a missed oppurtunity !

I was there in January too !
The zoo is on the road between Palenque Ciudad and the archeological site, sorry to say that as you surely took this road and did not notice.
