mexican spider monkey exhibit chapultepec zoo - All of the spider monkeys at chapultepec are confiscated animals, so the group is a genetic mix or a mess. Because most of the spider monkeys in mexican zoos are confiscated, very few collection have genetically pure groups. Zoomat in chiapas is one of the few. Perhaps, Xcaret too.

Where is the best place to see wild spider monkeys in Mexico? Do howler monkeys or any primate species besides spider monkeys (and humans obviously) occur in Mexico?

Montes Azules biospere reserve in Chiapas has guided tours, and both spider monkeys and howler monkeys can be seen there. Also, Los Tuxtlas biospere reserve in southern veracruz also has guided tours and with both spider monkeys and howler monkeys there. Possibly also Sian Kan reserve near Cancun would have both monkey species.

I saw also wild Spider monkeys at Crococun Zoo Cancun. A family wild Yucatan spider monkey lives on the zoo-grounds there.

That reminds me, vogelcommando were the spider monkeys at the centenario zoo also purebred unmixed yucatan spider monkeys ?
