I read that the original plan was to leave only native animals in the centenario zoo and send all the rest of the animals to ANIMAYA. I
suppose that the movement is going to be slow since it all depends on yucatan state funds,no federel aid.
There still are quite a number of exotics at Merida zoo ( several african monkey-species, lemurs, hippos, camels and so on ). Still have to write a review of this zoo.
