White lipped peccaries are my favorite Tayassuidae species, glad to have finally found a north american zoo that currently has this species because white lipped peccaries seem to be way more common in european zoos then in north american zoos, I know that here in the United States, San Diego Zoo had them in the 1980s and Los Angeles Zoo had them until the 1970's, have there been other US zoos that had them ?
I was very happy to see a breeding group of white lipped peccaries at Morelia zoo, since most mexican zoos only have collared peccaries. White lipped peccaries can still be found in protected areas of chiapas state.
Also, thank you ungulate nerd for your interest in mexican zoos.
