Coyotes in the Guadalajara zoo are kept in the same chain wire cage that used to hold the Canadian timber wolves years ago (I've been told they died of disease). I've always thought this cage should be removed and replaced by an open exhibit like that of Mexican wolves- coyotes deserve their space too.
Because that's the impression one gets XD There's really not much area to observe; I've always thought that coyotes deserve a bigger enclosure in this zoo, especially as they are very fast runners.
Then again, I don´t really think this one was bored; it was most likely trying to sleep but the noise around its cage wouldn´t let it.
