gorilla guadalajara zoo - One of the daughters of Chencha born at Guadalajara.

This is Faustina, daughter of Chencha and Chato, born in Guadalajara in 1994. Since both Chato and Chencha came from the wild it would be important to breed Faustina. Chato a male silverback, died in 2009.Sadly, Bantu, the male gorilla at Chapultepec zoo has proven to be unsuitable for breeding, he is too agressive. He would have been the closest mate in latin america for Faustina.

With the death of Bantu, Faustina will never mate unless she leaves Guadalajara zoo.
